How to check EPF account balance? EPF Status

On 30 Nov 2012 , the Employee Provident Fund has started a portal service for the EPF members to check their EPF balance and claim status online. The Central PF commissioner Shri RC Mishra launched the facilities at EPF headquarter New Delhi. 


The members shall be able to down load their e-passbook each month by registering himself/herself on member portal by using the identity proof likes, voter card, Aadhar Card, PAN etc and once he registered and  his account is in operative status , he can down load his monthly e-passbook which will give full details for his/her EPF balance status will be sent through SMS..  The facility, however is not available for the members under establishments that are exempted under the EPF Scheme 1952 (as the fund details are maintained by the Trust), Inoperative members (i.e in accounts where no contribution has been received during preceding 36 months). So to know your EPF status , the membes are required to to visit  EPF status online site click here .

after going on that site, click  at the place mark in circle. then a new form with drop down box will be opened, select your state where your EPF  office is located
 Once you selected your EPF state then list of the EPF offices working in that particular state will be displayed.

 just double click at the link provided before your EPF office where your have deposited your contribution, you will get an another form opened , on that form you need to fill the details regarding EPF number, Mobile number etc.

Leave the extension field blank, in case your account does not have one. you will be asked to enter your name and mobile number. The given mobile number will be recorded along with the PF account number. On successful submission of above information, the details will be sent through SMS to the given mobile number.
